Mathew V Visits the Z953 Studios
Vancouver's latest addition in the music industry, Mathew V, came to the Z 95.3 Studios for a live performance and to have a nice chat with myself. Repping Shania Twain, one of Mathew's favourite artists, he talked about the reason why Twain has such a connection to where he is today. Alongside that, from traveling across the world at a young age to working with other artists on the road, Mathew is living the dream. Ten years of operatic vocal training has given Mathew a thick vibrato which has set him up to have the unique styling his music has now.
Tell Me Smooth, his radio single, has been climbing the charts and sweeping the hearts of his fans. Opening for Hanson, most recently, his fans were so devoted they waited outside of the venue, due to ticket sales selling out so quickly. Not only in the real world, but in the social media realm has Amthew started a craaze. From a new single hashtag, #ABMB, to a fun fan one, #SelfiesforMathew, he never takes a single fan for granted.
I learned a lot during this interview, especially double checking that the audio is indeed recording. The audio from this interview was from the camera, that's why there's a bit of a buzz. Definitely not the best quality, but luckily I managed.
